Making Great Strides in the Student Accommodation Sector

Chroda FM, a provider of soft FM services, has seen significant growth over recent years as it expands into new regions and new markets, with its recent growth attributed to the student accommodation sector.

What began with supporting a small number of accommodation buildings with temporary, ad hoc security guarding, has now developed into a large portfolio of newly developed, prestigious accommodation complexes, in towns and cities across the UK including Manchester, Edinburgh, Coventry, Norwich and London.

In the last 12 months alone, we have grown our presence in this sector by more than 50%, taking on 35 new student accommodation sites for our manned security division. We also deliver professional cleaning across more than 50 student accommodation sites, and we continue to grow as we work closely with some of the key players operating in this sector.

“Student accommodation has been a significant area of growth for our business and we are keen to continue this and expand into more university cities and work with more accommodation providers” says Darren Perkins, National Operations Director. “These buildings are luxurious, with really modern specifications and are great to work in. Our staff are wholly embedded and work as a part of our clients’ own teams delivering professional concierge and front-of-house operations, and are focused on the student experience, which is really important to our clients.”

Chroda has earned a solid reputation for quality service delivery, working with some of the biggest names in student accommodation through the delivery of security services to Unite Students, Homes for Students, Fresh Student Living, Downing and Greystar.

We have strong knowledge and understanding of this sector; its unique operational requirements and challenges, to deliver a first class security service that not only represents genuine value, but also enhances the safety and security of our clients' portfolios.

We are excited to see what lies ahead in terms of new developments within student accommodation, and of our own growth within this environment over the next 12 months and beyond.
